Graffiti and Street Art in Florentine, Tel-Aviv

The Florentine neighborhood has been leading the local graffiti and street art scene for many years. Discover the kicking and colorful playground of underground artists, who turned this Tel Aviv neighborhood into a lively, fascinating and colorful gallery.
Join a tour that is all colors and art – during which we will discover the urban graffiti scene in the past and present. We’ll discuss the differences between graffiti and street art, who are the artist that rule the public domain, which techniques they use and how do you combine street art with the environment and turn dirt and noise into color. Among the woodshops, workshops and the neighborhood’s streets, we will come across masterpieces by prominent artists, who rose in the end of the 90’s and were preserved until this very day. We’ll review new works by new artists who have recently made their way to the neighborhood, and exceptional works by international artists who found our streets especially magical.
We’ll visit iconic graffiti locations, such as Frenemy and the 27 Club, special projects like the new wall on Shalma and many other gorgeous creations which will tell us the story of how the street became an open, see through and dynamic museum for any powerful expression, with no selection or curator. Before we’ll finish the tour, we’ll recommend good places to eat at around the neighborhood or the wonderful tasting tour of the Levinsky Market.
