Start Up Nation – The Story of the Jerusalem Hi-Tech

Jerusalem, to many, is a city of spirituality, history and sanctity. While this is true, in the last couple of decades, the familiar boundaries were stretched and the Israeli capital placed itself at the heart of the Start-up nation, with technological creations, start-up investments and promoting social and urban innovation.
Join us for a fascinating tour, hear the story of the Jerusalem Hi-Tech and innovation and discover the lesser known part of the city. We’ll start with some basic terms discussing Israel as a Star-up Nation, understand why aspects of the Israeli society raise current demands for entrepreneurs and creators, and get to know the unique Jerusalem ecosystem which allows for interesting projects and a huge investment in entrepreneurship and creativity in the city.

We’ll visit joint workspaces and wonder about the unique Jerusalem internship programs for the religious and Arab populations. We’ll visit a development hub and hear about interesting start-ups that are developed in Jerusalem. On the terrace of the Clal Building, we’ll admire the “re-use” of a public building and space for the urban population’s comfort, and at a religious training hub, we’ll hear about how the different areas in Hi-Tech help them integrate in the workplace and Israeli society.
At the end, we’ll take a virtual tour of Machne Yehuda Market and enjoy bites with the BiteMojo app, another award-winning Israeli start-up operating in Israel and around the world.
